Thank you all for my birthday mail and sis for making my cool card. Bobby and I both just turned 28 and in spite of all my tumor stuff, I'm feeling pretty lucky to be where I am. This deafness sucks and my gosh will it ever sink in that it's permanent?? Anyway I have been down with a kidney infection from late May till just a few days ago. It was one of the most painful things I've ever been though. So I spent most of my time in bed (and in the bathroom floor) thinking " if I can just get through this I'll be more thankful for my health! " Anyhow the ER gave me some IVs and antibiotics (horse pills!) which took a week or so to get me better. It's nice to not live in the bathroom anymore and I'm gaining some weight back. Anyone out there have wise words on how to avoid this happening again? A friend told me once you have one they often come back easier. Cranberry juice is my new best friend. I still can't do much water.

I'm cleaning my house like mad, the " company's coming " type of clean <frown> but <smile> cuz should be here tmrw or possibly late tonight. I get her for an entire month.

OH! , let me know the dates you might be free. Yes, I would love to meet you and your family. Where will you be staying? I'm in Rowlett and I'm thinking you once told me you stayed close by? Do you go to the Nell (?) for your MRI? They have a cool mirror that reflects out in the lawn area, you can look at the flowers and traffic as you get scanned. I'm not wild about that place though because they act like a MRI is a major deal, last time I was there they even asked if I had tats and I got a lecture of what to expect. I use to get them done in Garland but Mickey wanted me to do them there last time. Anyway good luck with your MRI, I guess the best we can hope for is a " no change, seeya in 6. " Email me about dates, we can do dinner or something.

Long winded today, just intended to tell Earl he's #1 and thank you all for my bday messages. You're a cool bunch of people. (Horses even signed my card, imagine that! Ty TR)
