Dear Sarang and Lata,

Its really sad that at a stage where the condition of the state is

deteriorating with the epidemic, PLHA are further discriminated. It

is also accepted universally that PLHA are the part of the solution in the race

but still this is happening.

If you remember Udaan alongwith your organisation have done considerable work in

Parbhani district and still we are hearing

this,why...... whats the positive group there is doing for this?

May be due to lack of support from MSACS the positive groups have

not become stronger to address these issues and many organisations are just

involved in concentrating on prevention work leaving this most important thing

of advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS out of their agenda.

Please call the Project Director of MSACS Dr. Prakash Sabde and inform him of

this incident and about the doctor also. I am also personally speaking to him on

this issue.

I am sure NACO is also reading the mails on the egroup and will take

appropriate steps in this regards and ask the SACS to initiate

action against the hospital and the doctor.

One thing is for sure here is that we need more support and work to

be done in Parbhani. Please do update us on this further.
