Guest guest
Dear Crew, For people have trigeminal schwannoma, in addition to bilateral acoustic neuroma, surgical removal or Gamma knife treatment, the trigeminal nerves may get hurt. This will cause facial sensation loss, eyelid drooping, eye movement difficulty. It may also cause corneal keratitis due to facial nerve weakness after treatments. I am facing a decision for my 7 year old daughter's surgery. Most physicians advised watchful waiting since it is a very difficult operation. However, it may not be operable when it gets larger. I wish to hear from patient point of view regarding the impact of these complications on their lives and how to deal with it. If you prefer, my private e-mail is jyang@.... ..
