Guest guest
Arthrocare wand in good ol' Stedman's - capitalized as I have written. Langer line - also in caps. Interesting - my spell check just wanted to spell ArthroCare as I have just written. aloha, Pam ----- Original Message ----- > I am doing a right shoulder arthroscopy, subacromial decompression and > distal clav resection. Guest guest
Pam, According to Stedman's Surgical words 3rd edition, there is an ArthroCare multielectrode system, along with the Arthrocare thermal wand, one with the capital C and the other without. Also there are also Arthrotek instruments, which I believe would be what she is looking for. Guest guest
Thanks Margaret. This is where I get tripped-up, I find an answer that seems to fit and I stop looking. I used the Ortho book since it was an ortho surgery but it looks like the Equipment book would have been a better choice. Is this usually the case when looking for equipment go with that book rather than the specialty book, or is it a case of needing to cross check every answer? I should have taken the different way of writing ArthroCare as " red-flag " . Guest guest
Hello, I've been recommended for a vestibulectomy as a cure for my vestibulitis (have had pelvic therapy and am already taking 1200 mg of Neurontin a day for cubital tunnel... has not helped the vestibulitis). The physician I've been seeing isn't covered by my health plan, so I'd be required to put the charge on my credit card. My insurance company will pay 80% of " usual and customary " expenses, but I could be left struggling to pay several thousands of dollars. Has anyone had a vestibulectomy or partial vulvectomy in the Washington, D.C. area? If so, I'd appreciate a reference to your physician if you think that your surgery was successful. Thanks very much.

Guest guest
Thanks Sue...it is good to know some results. I have done a lot of research and they only suggest surgery as a last resort. And they cannon guarantee that surgery will help. It is interesting to hear that it did not work for some people. There is only 70 percent chance it will help. I really want to try all my options before going through with surgery! Thanks for the reply! suebee wrote: I have not but I met with a group of woman that have VV and there have beenseveral in our group that have had the surgery. In at least 2 cases it wasnot succesful and they were sorry they did it because the repair tissuenever healed or hurt worse after.
