Swasti is engaged in projects related to planning (micro and macro at the local, district, state, national and international level), implementation and management support to funding and implementing organisations. Swasti invites applications for the following posts: CONSULTANT Qualification: Post graduation in Public Health or Social Sciences or Management from reputed institutes in India or abroad. Experience and skills: At least 5 years experience working in the area of Public Health, particularly RCH or HIV/AIDS. MONITORING SPECIALIST To plan, develop, implement and manage the monitoring, evaluation and learning system of an HIV/AIDS prevention and community empowerment programme with sex workers in Bangalore. Responsibilities include development and management of systems, documentation, research, facilitation of learning forums, community monitoring, etc. Qualification: Post graduation in management or social sciences from reputed institutes such as IRMA, IIM, IIFM, TISS, XIM and other leading social and management schools. Experience and skills: 5 years experience in development and at least 2 years in monitoring and evaluation related functions. Reading, writing and speaking English and Kannada is essential. FINANCE OFFICER To implement and manage the finances and financial systems. Qualification: B.Com, CA-Inter, ICWA Experience and skill: At least 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably with an organisation in the development sector. Skills in budget preparation, financial reporting, accounting and knowledge of statutory requirements SPECIALIST COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT AND ACTION To conceptualise and evolve, systems and an environment that empowers the community (female sex workers), improves ownership and energies action that addresses key concerns of the community members Qualification: Graduation in development studies from reputed institutes Experience and skill: At least 5 years of experience in field-based community development programmes, especially in the area of women’s issues. Strong inter-personal skills and a non-judgmental attitude. Ability to communicate with the community. Must be fluent in English and Kannada (reading, writing and speaking). Preference will be given to persons who have worked on issues related to Dalit and other marginalized communities, particularly with respect to community organizing and mobilising All positions are based in Bangalore.
