Guest guest
I just had my last 2 of 7 amalgams removed yesterday. So far I feel pretty good although I couldn't sleep last night. I had to have some of the composites filed down yesterday due to high spots and found relief immediately after. I had an x-ray done of my only tooth with a crown and there is no amalgam underneath. The crown is porcelain I believe. I got the OC Pack that Dr. Cave recommends and take glutathione with it and will continue with this until the packs gone. What is my next step? Should I just let my body detox on its own or do a few rounds of DMSA? What is everyone else doing? Guest guest
Jo, and x-ray might not be reliable in detecting whether or not amalgam is under a crown as it blocks out the tooth structure under the crown. The only sure fire way is to have prior records of treatment data, or removal of the crown and looking. Guest guest
Hello Joe, I am right in the middle of reading Andy Cutler's book. It is Sooooo informative. It is pretty clear in his book that if you simply remove the source of the mercury but don't remove the mercury from your brain you will still have residual ill health effects. I think some mercury will come out of your body but the mercury in your brain must be removed by chelation. His book is worth every dime of the $35.00 as the wealth of detailed information is invaluable in helping you to get mercury out and to feel better while doing it. And what dose of > glutathione The OC Pack contains 30 packs that you take all during your amalgam removal. You use the one packet twice a day and it has everything to support your system while removing amalgams including CLO and Omega 3, 6, and 9 plus tons of vitamins and minerals. I take 2 ThioDox which is a glutathione complex (10 mg. Vit. C, 5 mg. of Thiamin, 10 mg. Riboflavin, 20 mcg. Selenium, 250 mg. NAC, 200 mg. Glutathione, and 150 mg. of Lipoic Acid). To be honest with you, I didn't realize it had LA in it until right now but I haven't had any problems while taking it during amalgam removal. I got it through the Vitamin Shoppe at Holmes/Caves office and this is what the people there told me to take while having fillings removed. I thought I had read not to take LA until 3 months after removal. I wonder why they have LA in this product. Jo, I am so sorry to be a " wet blanket " here, but I have heard that you cannot tell from an xray, that the only way to tell is to remove the crown. May be worth looking into Moria

Guest guest
Question: how does the DR know for sure there is no amalgams under the crown you have? Did he/she do this crown? Most crowns are a titanium alloy under porcelain. And the titanium is " radio-paque. " Which means you cannot see through it, it appears white on the x-ray. If the dr. did not do this crown then he/she doesn't know. " Most " crowns are not just porcelain because porcelain is fragile. Think of your porcelain china.
