Guest guest
I agree with Cy. I never met a 4 year old I liked-including my own! Yu wil find that the second kid makes more than double the work of just one. But, bthey do grow up quickly, so there is hope! Re: What Baby? Guest guest
, Pat is correct. The problem is that the work load is exponential, not straight line. Cy, the Ancient One... Re: What Baby? Guest guest
Oh kids are gr'r'r'r'r'reat! I must be the odd one around here, smile, but me and my wife fully enjoy challenges in life and we enjoy the terrible twos. so I am not certain if we will dread the 2 or 4 year marks. Teens, now that is a different story smile. Enjoying children, I think it depends to a certain degree, the temporment of your child and also the patience level of the parent and if both in the marriage do a team approach to raising kids or a single player approach etc. Lots of variables to determine enjoyment smile. Guest guest
, You have to remember that my ex wife Barbara and I also enjoyed children, that is why we adopted 12 of them. I don't care what gender or color you prefer, we had one. Children can be a real blessing and you are correct, the team approach is the only way to survive. I jest a lot about children but I do love them. I was alone and had no parental involvement for much of my childhood and know the anguish which comes from having no one who cares about you. I guess I have a real soft spot for children who have no one who cares for them. Cy, the Ancient One... Re: What Baby? Oh kids are gr'r'r'r'r'reat! Guest guest
, You know, about the very best advice I could give anyone is contained in the AA Serenity Prayer. Heavenly Father, Give me the courage to change the things I can change. Give me the strength to accept the things which I can not change and, Give me the wisdom to know the difference, amen This is probabl not verbatem but the general idea is there. The experiences we have gone through in our lives makes us the person we are today. Guilt looks back, worry looks ahead and Faith looks up. God bless you and your family . Cy, the Ancient One...
