: I am very pleased to report that the House:Senate Conference Committee has

: approved $ 17 million for NF research via the US Army's NF Research

Program

: for the coming fiscal year. That is an increase of $ 2 million or 13% over

: the current funding level.

:

: The bill still has to be formally approved by both Houses of Congress and

: then must be signed by the President; but this was the critical step. Over

: 12,000 of our members participated in the legislative process that led to

: these results, and a million thanks go to them for their efforts.

: The US Army's NF Research Program began as an initiative of the National

: Neurofibromatosis Foundation, and its maintenance continues to be of the

: highest priority to the Foundation.
