Guest guest
Try Lotrosome(spelling?) cream. It may now be available without a percription. I'm not sure. Most antifungal creams will work, this one is pretty good I think. regards, D.R. > It's warm in Texas, and my daughter has begun her 4-6 swims a day. > It is once again glaringly apparent that she is having trouble with > skin fungus: tinea versicolor. Guest guest
This needs anti-fungal treatment. Lotromin OTC, Lemon Balm, probiotics... unfortunately, fungus can take 1 - 2 months of daily treatment to go away.... Guest guest
I used to have to deal with it. It is difficult to get rid of. I used to use Whitfield's ointment, but I don't think they make it anymore. I first got it as a teenager, when I had to wear a polyester waitress uniform, bra and pantyhose. As odd as it sounds, these things will always make me get it. The last time I had it was when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I had started wearing a bra again, and I had it all along the bra line, it was pretty obvious that that was what was doing it, up until then, I had though it maybe was a coincidence that I would get it when I was regularly wearing one. I have not been able to find a bra that doesn't do this to me. Pantyhose was always around the waistline, that terrible uniform I had to wear gave it to me on my belly. Your daughter might be having the same reaction to her swimsuit, which is why you can't seem to get rid of it. Try to find a swimsuit that is cotton, and use a strong anti-fungal lotion, it will take maybe 2 weeks to notice it fading. Guest guest
Tana, I had to chuckle when I read your suggestion about the swimsuit. Bella is a real nudist--and swims nude unless she has guests over! Thanks for the tips on getting rid of the fungus! > I used to have to deal with it. It is difficult to get rid of.
