I believe straight edge is a group that abstains from everything harmful:

alcohol,drugs,sex,caffiene,nicotine,gambling, sugar,etc... Anything that

can be addictive or abused is avoided entirely.

I've seen some of the more militant s.e. groups on tv, slam dancing at a

thrash concert. Evidently, not doing anything bad makes you want to beat

the crap out of other people.

Its absolutely crazy. But it ties in wonderfully with the whole

Christian cirriculum.

Sounds like the AA group I used to belong to. They said if you smoked

nicotine and drank caffiene you were an active drug addict.
