Guest guest
I believe straight edge is a group that abstains from everything harmful: alcohol, drugs, sex, caffiene, nicotine, gambling, sugar,etc... Anything that can be addictive or abused is avoided entirely. I've seen some of the more militant s.e. groups on tv, slam dancing at a thrash concert. Evidently, not doing anything bad makes you want to beat the crap out of other people. Its absolutely crazy. But it ties in wonderfully with the whole Christian cirriculum. >From: UncArtie@... >Reply-To: 12-step-freeegroups >To: 12-step-freeegroups >Subject: Re: The future decline of steppism >Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1999 18:33:51 EDT > >In a message dated 10/12/99 11:52:44 AM Central Daylight Time, >monde@... writes: > > > Have you ever seen the " Straight Edge " > > newsgroups? Guest guest
Sounds like the AA group I used to belong to. They said if you smoked nicotine and drank caffiene you were an active drug addict. md matt " wrote: original article:/group/12-step-free/?start=8593 > I believe straight edge is a group that abstains from everything harmful: > alcohol, drugs, sex, caffiene, nicotine, gambling, sugar,etc...
