Such deja vu !! I did the same thing, and I heard that for years.

I think you have something there - I've always wondered about a bunch of

people who can listen to someone share a story about the mistakes they've

made, only to come back with " but you're ok. You're not drinking today " .

That's not growth, that's enabling. No wonder AA's spend so much time in

meetings - no one ever criticizes you for anything but drinking, unlike the

real world with all of us delusional earth people who hold you responsible

for ALL your actions, not just what you choose to drink.
