I did treat it twice with oral medication and know that in order to use the medicine I had to have a blood test once in a while to check my liver function. The medicine worked but the fungus eventually came back. I wonder sometimes whether that fungus has anything to do with my son's troubles. Perhaps while nursing, he picked (ingested) some of the fungus. I have it on my trunk area. Isn't yeast a type of fungus or vice versa? So, just wanted to say, there is a medicine for it. Your doctor should know. Meg

It is a skin yeast and I get it under my breasts. Lotrimin or Nystatin cream will clear it up, but you have to be sure to apply it day and night until the rash is gone....
