Guest guest
This past week has been a bit stressful for me, as I have had some spotting and not a very positive first ultrasound. I have figured my dates to be just about 9 weeks pg (tomorrow), but an ultrasound (Friday) showed a 61/2 week sac. My OB and the ultrasound tech assured me that because I had a late ovulation (day 20 - I chart my temp) this might not be that far off. But the spotting isn't a good sign. Also, due to the early date, a heartbeat wasn't picked up, although the tech. showed us what she was sure was the flickering HB. My uterus, besides being septate, is also tipped very far back and sideways (2 O'clock position). So the tech couldn't get the intravaginal ultrasound wand very close to the sac to get a good measurement or the HB. " Just in case " my OB has put me on Prometrium (prog. suppositories) although I've never been tested for luteal phase defect. Besides giving me a killer headache and putting me to sleep immediately, it has stopped the pink spotting but instead now I have a very strange brown mucous. (Sorry to be graphic). Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure how I feel about the Prometrium...can anyone tell me more about this? I am trying to remain positive, but I am pretty certain that I am going to lose this pregnancy, because I have now had spotting for over a week, and this is how my last miscarriage began. Also, I think the pregnancy size is too far behind. So, I go for another ultrasound Thursday, to see if there has been growth. One positive aspect of this is that after 3 years of trying we managed to get pregnant twice in 8 months. I'm pretty certain that after septoplasty, I will have better luck of sustaining a pregnancy in my uterus. Thanks for listening, I really appreciate this group for support. I will update after my Thurs ultrasound. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
