I don't know what to think==== except I do know of at least one person who was " normal " according to counting rules and chelated and got positive results; and also know of at least one who was " normal " according to counting rules and chelated and saw no change. Trying chelation out is a possibility. So is looking at symptoms as a dignostic method. So is other testing such as fractionated urine phorphrines (sp?). If you try ALA it will also help with your " yellow " on arsenic. Personally, I would be uncomfortable with those " yellows " , but I am generally very paranoid about metals LOL! I never used the counting rules myself. I didn't know how to get a DDI test back then (or a lot of other things!)-- so I got what was available to me easily-- a BodyBalance test-- which has far less elements than the DDI test. My calcium & magnesium were both very high. I didn't get the hair test till the same time as I started ALA. I think I got the results back during the first 2 or 3 weeks I was using ALA. I tried to look at the results there, and it seemed like " a lot " were out of ref range. How is that for " a fuzzy measure " ! ha ha ha I got a 2nd hair test after several months of chelation (a DDI test this time)--- calcium & magnesium are both in the green (average), and ALL of my hair results are normal--- that is " normal mineral transport " on this test. The only thing I thought stood out at all was red (low) on lithium. Otherwise it looks really normal to me. hope that provides some food for thought. best wishes, Moria
