Guest guest
Hi, Just wondering if Tawnia is still on the list and how the PT was working. She sounded hopeful that it was doing good and I was just wondering. I recently switched to amitriptyline from desipramine and take 30mg/@ night. I feel much more burning now than when I took the desip. but asked the dr to change the prescription after that notice that was posted a few months ago that associated certain pills w/breast cancer & since I've had it already I wanted to switch even though the dr said he didn't believe that study. I recently started a PT/job that has turned into more of a FT/job since people don't show up but I have to take the time & make an appt. w/a PT to see if my problem could be helped. I do have lower back pain at times, especially in the a.m. in bed- I usually get up because my back is hurting so PT might help there too as well. My problem came on suddenly when I started going into menopause so doesn't that seem hormonal? I can't take estrogen because of the bc and I'm dragging my feet not knowing if it's food allergies or pudental nerve problems. My problem seems to be different than some of you in that I don't hurt from touch, but have very tender red bumps near the bartholin glands that give me the most pain. I think I read that some vulvodynia is characterized by red bumps, etc. The gyn said to try PT w/Dr Glazer but he's only in Boston l Saturday a month and I'd rather go to someone during the week.(I work Saturdays and I would think you'd go weekly for awhile.) The Great Smokies Lab also sounds interesting but I don't know of a place around Mass. Tawnia,if you're there check in w/us.
