Guest guest
Hello, Renata, your idea of creating a journal club is very interesting. We had a journal club in the peadiatric hospital, Sainte e in Montreal (Canada). I've tried to create a journal club in France in 2004 (named journal club nutrition in yahoogroups). A lot of RD's were interested to READ the abstracts of articles, but nobody was interested in reading the article and make the abstracts !!! So, you can imagine how happy I am when I read your message :-) I do agree with : online only. On a website ? Or in rd-usa ? Or both ? I'm very interested by this idea ; let's do it. I'm ok to give help. And of course, the subject vitamin D and breastmilk could be the first one, as I totally agree with your opinion. Have a nice week end. -- Frederic Courtois, Ph.D., R.D. Guest guest
I will look into it then. Have any of you had any experiences with journal clubs before? Once upon a time I participated in one done through AOL instant messenger. I am interested in other people's thoughts. Should the discussion be done live, or during a certain time frame? I believe reading the entire article is important (or at least assigning one article per person). Frederic, is your yahoo group still active? Was it just for french RDs?
