Guest guest
It's sad that there has to be a naming of groups of symptoms in one way and that is that with every disorder there seems to be so much diversity of symptoms and levels of severity. Therefore my son will be labeled say with ADHD and someone with more involvement is labeled autistic and someone with yet more involvement is labeled mito, someone older with less involvement in the earlier yrs is labeled Alzheimer's, etc. People and Dr.s tend to cling to these labels and want to stop the thinking process. They close their minds to the possibilities that might help. Like, hmmmmm, I wonder if this presentation is a milder form of so and so, or more severe form of such and such. SO they refuse to test or treat certain ways as that person doesn't fit into this tight little category we've decided is this particular disorder when really all that was was a grouping of similar symtptoms to begin with and who knows how exactly correct that particular description is to start with?
