" Just " flatulence may be a sign of celiac disease as well. A food/symptom diary may reveal the source, or possibly he's dealing also with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).Also, just as an fyi, eggplant belongs in the solanine family with potato, tomato and peppers. Cabbage and cauliflower are not related to eggplant, but are in the mustard family along with mustard, canola, kale, etc and yes, may be gas forming for " some " people.
