Guest guest
The reason why I asked about the histadine is because Dr. Walsh said low blood histamine can mean overmethylation and to avoid methionine, TMG, inositol but treat with folic acid, B3, B-12, DMAE.What do you think about his recommendations Andy? Guest guest
: Is histadine and Histamine the same. My little guy had low histamine levels. Do you know?
Guest guest
Histadine is the amino acid histamine is made from. Bad allergies can cause constant histamine reactions, exhausting histamine supplies. Carnosine or histadine supplements can increASE histadine, but should be invreased gradually because of the risk of over doing it-creating the opposite problem. Guest guest
My son is very allergy right now. If carnosine will increase the histamine level, I should not give him any carnaware, right? Guest guest
Depends on the child. My extremely allergic child benefitted enormously from carnosine, buut he is also low in histamine. Guest guest
Lindy, This is the same question I had and asked Andy. I asked him if Histadine was the same as Histamine because it is the precurser and he answered that it probably was.He also mentioned histamine regulates attention, balance and focus. Guest guest
Dr. Walsh said at the Dan that kids low in blood histamine have a tendency to have anxiety and depression and should avoid Methionine,TMG,inositol but take folic acid, B-3,B-12,DMAE
Guest guest
How much carnosine are you giving your child? Can you describe the benefits? Do you have plasma or urine amino acid results showing the carnosine levels before supplementation? I notice the GSDL plasma amino acid test for carnosine shows <=0.09 micromoles/deciliter as the reference range and the Great Plaines urine test shows ref range = 0 - 11.4 mmol/mol. Guest guest
Initially, my son took one 50 mg capsule per day. Yes, a 24 hr urine amino acid showed him to be deficient in it(don't remember the lab values.) After a week and a half, he reduced it to once every few days. Currently, it's only about once a week. There was an immediate change in 's digestion, muscle tone, and color on carnosine. He appeared to have a mild detox reaction of some kind. He has maintained those benefits on the occasional dose. My " NT " daughter( a runner) takes a 50 mg capsule twice daily. It has cut down on her injuries and improved her running time. She went through a VERY pronounced detox(metals? die-off?)about two weeks after starting it-then started feeling steadily better. She took herself off for a couple of weeks, but started it again because she feels so much more energetic, and her sinus problems and digestion have improved. She is the one with the more pronounced signs of cross-linking problems(especially lax ligaments and joints that pop out.) The change in these symptoms has been pretty dramatic. I can tell immediately whether needs it-there is a subtle change in his color and muscle tone. His stools are perfect now(please don't tell him I said so-he is a teenager LOL) Hope this answers your questions Jean Re: [ ] Re: histadine levels How much carnosine are you giving your child?
