Guest guest
Hello I'm not an RD yet (student) but some of the things I heard is that diet before trying to conceive will play a role in the gender of the baby  a diet high in Na and K (and low in Mg and Ca) will result in getting pregnant with a boy  I just heard this from some people (patients) and I don't have an online source sorry  but what do you think of that ?  Subject: TTC food myths To: rd-usa Date: Monday, January 3, 2011, 5:58 PM  Looking for any online resources that might be able to help me find some of the food myths that deal with trying to conceive. For example some women will eat pineapple to help with implantation. Anyone know of any good resources or websites that would help me find this type of info? Thank you, Kim Tessmer, RD LD
Guest guest
Seems like food, dietary supplement, herbals, etc. that has a relationship to hormones, is a potential myth out there. When I read anything herbal or a dietary supplement I go to my Natural Medicine database for more information. > > > Looking for any online resources that might be able to help me find some of > the food myths that deal with trying to conceive. Guest guest
I think that’s crazy. It is the sperm which determines the gender of the baby, not the mother’s (or father’s) diet.
