Guest guest
I don't watch much TV but do watch The Today Show in the morning when getting ready for the day. I always learn something. Today I learned that people have plenty of knowledge about nutrition but they don't know what to eat! If you saw the segment with Mike Leonard going thru the exhibits at FNCE then you know what I'm talking about. He said he still didn't know what to eat. And then the others (Meredith and whoever) chimed in agreeing with him when the segment was over. Fellow nutrition experts, as disseminators of nutrition advice we've done a lousy job. You see, Mike Leonard and all the others are confused and it's our " fault " . Did we forget to tell people that there isn't only one " right " way to eat? Did we neglect to let the public know that there are many ways to eat that will support good health? Is everyone looking for the regimen that fits all? That's why they're confused. At least that's what I think. Look at all of us...some of us are vegetarians, some are vegans, most are omnivores. Some of us take supplements, others do not. Some of us eat lots of red meat, some of us eat only " white " meats. Some of us are fat and some of us are not. We're all different and most of us (I hope!) are healthy. Why is that we cannot send that message? Just a little something to get your minds in gear for the day.
