Guest guest
Hi all, Debbie had some insightful comments on an example of my blood sugar. Can anyone else tell me something about my sugar swings? The readings below are typical. I've tested it many times. It just seems very strange to me. What do you think? Anyone familier with blood sugar readings or all you medical people out there? It also seems with this constantly changing curve that it would not be picked up on a Glucose tolerance test, because they test every hour. My sugar swings up and down every 15-20 minutes. I was once diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I had a reaction at the third hour of glucose tolerance testing. However in retrospect, I know I was having an NMH epidsode, and as they were not able to get my blood because I was so sick, I dont know what my blood sugar reading was at the third hour. That's when I got really sick from a blood pressure drop.. I do know from testing my sugar after ingesting forms of sugar, my readings are not normal. Would you mind telling me what you think. I used the new Advantage blood sugar monitor for diabetics, which is supposed to be very accurate. And I've gotten the same type swings many times. My friend who is type 1 diabetic recommended it. I bought a new one. The readings were similar every time I have tested, so I do believe they are pretty accurate.
