Guest guest
I would consider Killian Oaks Academy. It is a very nurturing environment with very high educational standards. The commute could cause an issue. Moving to Miami Hi,My family will be moving to Miami in June and it is a totally new city to us. We have a five year old boy with mild PDDNOS. He is doing OK in his current school (K) but needs some support for his social skills. He is sharing a special aide with two other childrens in his kindegarten class and we are pretty happy with his progress. We would like to find a place in Miami that is safe and a local school that provides good support to him. I will be working in Memeorial hospital and wish to limit the commuting time to less than one hour each way.Any suggestion/advice will be highly appreciated! Thanks
Guest guest
Thank you to everyone who answered my request. I checked atlantis and Killiam Oaks wbesites and some reviews on greatschools.net. They offer great resouces but it might be an overkill. My son is doing well right now in regular K and his academics are quite strong. The problem with him is that he would rather do his own things than group activities and have difficulities during transitions. His current school has an aide for Kindegraten and she would guide him if needed during class transitions. Does any of local schools offer such support to its students? We are looking into Coral Gables area and anyone is familar with coral gables elementary school? Thanks.
