Nutritionist recommendation and yeast/mold free diet?

Hi Everyone,

Because you have been so helpful in the past, I am

going to ask for more advice :)

My son has made some improvement on the gfcf diet, but

I feel there are additional foods that need to be cut

from his diet. We are in the middle of a multiple

elimination diet to try to figure out what he can and

can't eat and I am starting to feel I am in a little

over my head. Can anyone recommend a good

nutritionist?

Also, has anyone tried the yeast and mold free diet

(Dr. Robbins - environmental medicine in Deerfield

Beach - recommended this)?

Thank you again for all of the support and advice,

Jen

80% of all humans especially in florida have yeast. Our kids have yeast...save the money on testing..you can use diflucan & or nystatin...and there is a homotoxilogical alternative that will cause no stimming etc......if you go with gluten/cassein free you have saved yourself more test money.....dan studies indicate a 67 % favorability rating for the diet....spend your $ on neurotransmitter testing.....and heavy metals.......have the results evaluated by a physician

These evaluations go like this

1]initial eval...1 to 1 1/2 hrs

2]30 day follow up

3]every 60 to 90 days for about a year

4 ] every 6 months

Research the dan list!...you should be able to find some dr that will fall within these parameters!

initial evals should be around $150

follow ups should be around $80

Every dollar counts....I have found that by and large spectrum moms and dads are some of the nicest people I have ever met.

best wishes

Re: Nutritionist recommendation and yeast/mold free diet?

In order to take away what is not good for him, you should do an

allergy test. Also for the yeast diet, you should check for yeast

first, if you know that he has yeast, then the diet may work, but he

will go through a yeast die off, meaning he will get worse before he

gets better.

For the allergy testing, Allettes has an excellent one, and it also

probives a wellness program, we do have Allettes available in or

office, you can call me at (954)584-3198 if you have any questions.

Also I have some information taht I can give you for the yeast diet,

but make sure he has yeast, wecan check that for you too.

homotoxicology is a system of medicine that includes homeopathy and allopathic thinking...the medicine will not create liver problems and therefore will create less stimming ...or none

I have to agree with Celeste here. I would recommend testing for

yeast first as well. To place yet another dietary restriction on a

child if you are not sure he needs it to be done is futile for the

parent. As far as dietary elimination, the allergy testing (if done

correctly!) is much more expensive than the yeast test. The best

bang for your dollar is do the yeast test (it could very well be

negative, as was my sons and therefore saving you more money in the

long run not having to go on a SCD or something else)

The food allergy testing if done properly will cost you much more

then the yeast testing. It does seem money is an issue here, so the

rotation elimination diet is the proper course of action. Soy tends

to be a key culprit if you are not getting maximum benefit from the

GFCF diet, so you may want to start your elimination there first.

Email me privately if you need further guidance. Your post was

unclear as to what you have and have not done with regards to

testing, I can better help you if wish to share that information with

me. Good Luck, Beth Vataker
