Vitamin D and Cardiac disease? Farmers that eat a lot of sat fat?

Interesting news on Vit D and cardiac disease lately.

I've often wondered about the old farmers I knew as a kid that ate their

bacon, eggs, fat on the steaks, butter, whole milk on a very daily basis.

These same people spent MANY hours in the sun all spring/summer/fall farming

and/or gardening. (Then, on the summer Sunday's off, we'd head to the lakes

for water skiing or fishing and swimming - more sun.)

I wonder just how much this observation was a Vit D observation factor!
