Guest guest
Is anyone aware of any studies that support the notion that people of certain ethnic/racial/religious groups prefer to be counseled by their own group? In other words, African-Americans preferring an African-American dietitian. I'm looking for research not conjecture. I haven't been able to find anything....not in any of the health fields (nursing, psychology, medicine). I've found support for the idea but not research. If anyone is aware of any research, I'd really appreciate knowing about it. It's for the article I'm writing on diversity in dietetics. Thanks!
