I have been reading, and enjoying, the comments about cooking shows and how

Americans eat. I too, would rather have something " real " in small amounts,

occasionally like butter in baking or ice cream, than any amount of fake

processed " low fat or fat free items " . What happened to eating a variety of

foods in moderation? I agree that as dietitians, we are out of step if we

believe that healthy and fresh comes before convenience and cheap for the

majority of the American public. Someone must be eating at all the fast food

restaurants!
