My 6 month old grandson is being brought up VEGAN, has been eating smooth peanut

butter for more than a month. The pediatrician said that in Israel children are

fed boiled peanuts very early and peanut allergy is very low in tht country. I

did not do any research to verify.

He also loves hummus, almond butter, and anything his parents are eating that

can be mashed, no tofu yet.

In WIC we have been recommending waiting until 2 years old (choking issues

too with nuts) and for now we will continue with that. Interesting research

though both ways!!
