Guest guest
Would love to know why everyone does not spell our names properly. Is the dietician spelling British or something? Anyway I agree with all the discussion here. Have you heard " the fat lady in the kitchen " as a description of us... I was thinking it was time for us to rename ourselves. Diploma Nurses get a BS on line and call themselves Nurse Clinicians and get a raise.....and the praise... You know what we get..... !!!!!!!!!! Hey Dietary....., Call Dietary.....etc meaning us... ADA needs to rename us so we can get some respect... Any ideas here. We are more like practitioners and many of us have master's with internships.... In a message dated 2/19/2011 8:29:39 P.M. Guest guest
This is the worst yet! I get calls from clients who want me to do weight loss therapy but only if I give them approval for gastric banding because that is what they want and they need 6 visits with a RD due to a requirement by their insurance company! BTW, none of them need gastric banding or surgery! One client told me a RD would charge her $500 per visit & give her approval that the medical nutrition therapy would not work...duh!
