Guest guest
Whether Florida’s licensure pertains depends upon their law specifies providing MNT in Florida and how they define in. Wouldn’t surprise me if they never thought of this situation. I do know that Florida licenses dietitians. However, I don't think that issue pertains here. The purpose of licensure is to protect the safety of the citizens of the state(s) in which you hold licensure. It sounds like your client is a Michigan resident and not a Florida resident. So she would be protected. The caveat is if Michigan statute for dietitians specifies that consultations must be face to face- so it would be good to check those statutes.
