We received a phone call from a 43 year old male who is 5 years post transplant.

He states that his new kidney is functioning without complications. He is

interested in training for the transplant olympics in running. Thinks he needs

to build muscle and lose fat. Before we call his physician or try the National

Kidney Foundation, is there any generalized guidelines we should be addressing

or resources we can give him? Any general nutrient issues we need to

investigate? We work with chronic renal failure pre-transplant folks, but not

post transplant athletes. Always interested in new challanges.

PS His donor is his wife !! How about that for good spouse selection !!
