Guest guest
It's 11:10 p.m. so I hope this makes sense. I have psoriasis too and often wondered if there was a connection. I've had the psoriasis for a lot longer and I had several UTI before getting VV. I also have I.C. along with migraines, Fibro (especially the fog part), IBS, among others. I take Detrol for my I.C. I used to get up 5-6 times a night before and now it's 2 or 3. Have you tried Pyridium ? (not sure of spelling or drug name) that can sometimes take away pain. Hope this helps, Sue P.S. Sometimes it seem to hurt more to go to the bathroom when it's more concentrated so even though this doesn't make sense, drink more water and than stop after 6:00 p.m.
Guest guest
Dear Lynn, Thanks for the info re: the urine cultures. Actually, I had forgot to mention they told me there was a slight trace of blood in the sample but no infection. Hope it isnt the start of intersitial cystitis

Guest guest
Hi, I hate to be a doom-sayer here, but those are exactly the symptoms I experienced over the last year or two. I would feel like I had a mild bladder infection for a day or so and then it would go away. Well, this January I had another bout and it has NEVER gone away. I tested negative for a UTI.. so it looks like I've got interstitial cystitis which is very common with VV. I have it under control now with diet modifications, but my VV is still the same so far. Sure hope you don't get this...it's worse than the VV! :-( Take care, Toby > Hi Jill, > The very same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago...thought for sure I had > a UTI..burning & frequency. I had them same coming and going of bladder symptoms then in January I had a real UTI (high colony count) took cipro..had to take 2 doses. Got better but never 100%. Guest guest
Hi Jill, Ive had most of the symptoms of a UTI quite a few times and when ive had a test done at the doctors its come back negative and free of infection. I went about 3 months ago when it was at its worse and I was really surprised when it was negative, I was sure I had some sort of infection. Ive been to the doctors a few times with suspected UTI's, sometimes its shown infection sometimes it hasnt. My symptoms are mainly : frequency even after just urinating, bladder feeling same as before urinating even when ive just been, I dont get very bad pain while urinating, even sometimes I get very slight stinging/burning but most of the time no pain at all, my bladder feels a bit sore when I need to urinate, its not a normal feeling. Im not sure if when I do get pain while urinating that its not just because my vulvar area is sore. Ive also had urine samples sent off to lab, come back negative!! Have you been told you have interstitial cystitis (IC) ? The symptoms can be the same as UTI's but without any infection. Im going to see a urologist tomorrow so hopefully i'll find out something then, i'll let everyone know how I get on!! > Hi Jill, > The very same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago...thought for sure I had > a UTI..burning & frequency. Guest guest
Good luck at your urology appt. . Let us know what you find out. Your symptoms sound really a lot like mine. I haven't been dx with interstitial cystitis (yet!) but I really have only been to the doc for these problems since it started over the last 8-9 mos. and that was when he dx the vv and the cystocele. I didn't really make him aware of all the bladder symptoms then but I have another appt. next week. As I sit here and type this, I have an aching in my bladder that feels so much like menstrual cramps (but I have not resumed periods yet because I am breastfeeding and I know it's not that, it's the bladder).
