Guest guest
Thanks for the laugh and Digna!! ________________________________ To: rd-usa Sent: Thu, February 3, 2011 12:11:15 AM Subject: RE: Top snacks for kids and your opinion Ha! This is so funny, . Thanks for the good laugh. So…. I have various types of snax for “my kids†– on the top of the list is WORMS, big fat super mealworms. Sprinkled with calcium. My husband’s kid on the other hand will eat anything she can get out of the box or bag by herself but she’ll take it from your hand also. If the trash can lid isn’t firmly secured, she scavenges for anything edible. But she’s satisfied with just a few bones and ¾ of dry kibble if she can’t get anything else. She expects at least one treat after a 3 mile walk, and enjoys a nice swim even in 40 degrees and when raining (well, being a member of the Polar Bear Club and having enough hair and fat on her she doesn’t even notice what temperature it is). Need we go on? I also feed wildlife, but some, as the cranes and egrets are rude and help themselves to fresh fish whenever they fly by. The coyotes on the other hand, lurk around even in broad daylight hoping the electricity fails so that they can jump an unsuspecting chicken. Hope nobody minds, but in the late hour I’ve really appreciated ’s sense of humor and great laugh after a hard day and long commute. They get canned food as it is better for them, but I keep some dry on hand for treats. It is in an ice cream bucket with a snap on lid and Louie will pull the lid off using his teeth. He is very determined and previously figured out how to unscrew lids of containers to get to the dry treats. Maddie prefers any kind of Fancy Feast or canned food with lots of gravy.
