Need PDD Professional Evaluation

I am in need of finding a professional autism spectrum evaluation for

my almost five year old son that is significantly speech delayed and

showing charactaristics of PDD (based on info from his public school

speech and language teacher). He has medicaid and I already looked at

Atlantic University and Dan Marino Center but am not getting any clear

answers. Any of you pro's know where to find a good psychological eval

for my son and one that will accept medicaid?

The school board should be able to do this, if you need the classification for school placement and/or services.

A neurologist can do this evaluation if you just need a diagnosis. Dan Marino has good neurologists that can provide a diagnosis. Whatever else the neurologists may provide, I cannot generally attest to but have not heard many positive things.

A psychologist would generally do psychoeducational testing, which would determine your child's IQ.

If you cannot locate or identify a Medicaid provider, the school board is your best bet.
