URGENT! ACTION NEEDED NOW!! Keep HMO's out of APD!!

Dear and Fellow Advocates, There is a very crucial committee meeting taking place tomorrow, Thursday Jan 24th. The members of the Senate Health and Human Services Appropriations need to hear from us in a very big way! We expect a contract proposal by Amerigroup, an HMO, to shift funds from APD to their corporation for service delivery. In Illinois, Ameirgroup only spent 55% of the funds on servcies and the rest went to overhead, private jets, sky boxes, etc. The issue ended up in litigation, taking more dollars away from those who need it most.
