Guest guest
Laurie, I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis way back in 1992 and am still getting treated for it. But generally there are very few external (clinical) symptoms of nephritis and its pretty difficult to diagnose. The few symptoms that do show are swelling of the feet with pitting and puffy eyebrows (especially in the mornings) if there is excessive protein loss from the body, brown or reddish urine if there are a lot of RBCs in the urine. In case of protein loss, the urine is extremely frothy. High blood pressure may also be an indication of kidney disease. I haven't had any pain in kidney region at all at any time. Generally the pain comes in that region only if there are any Kidney stones. So you may have to check on that. As for itching, generally itching is associated with problems in the liver. So ask your doctor about it. Hope this helps. Mukund Yahoo! Properties Special Buy, sell, rent...your flat, or even post an ad
