You are doing well, and I am glad for you. I believe the highest glucose

level for non-diabetics happens about 30-45 minutes after eating a meal. It

might be even up to one hour afterwards, but nevertheless you are doing

pretty good with your goal of losing weight. Just keep up the physical

conditioning. I must admit here that I have been very lax in my diet and

exercise routine for the past three months. I think my next A1C test in

another month will show that I have been a bad boy.

Oh, no wonder your BG was so high. It is not abnormal to have that high a

BG after eating such a short time before. Congrats on the weight loss.

Every pound counts!

Well Harry, remember today is the first day of the rest of your life. Do

not get discouraged. Pick up and move on. I understand the human body

does have a remarkable capacity for renewal.

So does the human spirit!

Thank you Pat. You know it was you who first clued me on to the fact that

low carb

diets can cause large weight gain or inordinately slow weight loss if

amount of food taken in is not considered. So calories sure do count and

do carbs. It is a question of very careful monitoring of the balance of

calories and carbs and exercise and go out and get yourself a life beyond

food!!!

I often think of the advice you gave me Pat and thank God for it. Smile.

How about a helping of music? Smile.
