I need to check out more the success record of Altace, and discuss it with my cardiologist. Thanks for your info. I did check out the variation in EF as calculated in an echocardiogram. The Cleveland Clinic site has a lot on afib, and their answers to others on the subject said: " We usually tell people it is not an absolute, and only a 2D image of a 3D heart, so the EF is +or- 5% points. " After I read that I didn't wonder so much about my decline from 40% to 35%. Still I would be happy if had gone to 45%.
