It's only the ADA that says that the spelling with a " t " is " preferred. " And, until/unless they lobby all the major dictionaries and spell checkers, it will remain correct either way. Why the spelling with a " t " was preferred by ADA when most other " cian " professions use c is beyond me! Jan Patenaude, RD (Maybe now old enough to no longer care how it's spelled.)
