Guest guest
Clearly sounds possible that she's B-12 deficient. I've run into it a number of times over the years. 1. 30 year old psych patient. Needed a walker to walk. B-12 with B-complex reversed it. 2. From my research, there is no known " toxicity " of B-12, so if deficient, she can clearly, safely, take 1000 mcg sublingual daily with no risk if she wants to boost levels faster. (No need for intrinsic factor. There are effective nasal sprays too if people don't want to rely on shots - sadly, they were so effective they were made prescription only, last I heard.) 3. Add to that a good B-Complex, since they work in tandem. 4. Have seen a few clients post-gastrectomy with classic symptoms (about 5 years later). Post surgery, their docs didn't bother to tell them they had to supplement. Sigh. . . 5. If not that, clearly, I've had balance problems when I used to get inner-ear congestion from rose-hip allergy. 6. I've seen B-12 shot/supplementation reverse symptoms in as little as 10 days, so don't give up on school yet. 7. General B vit. deficiency can cause neuro stuff too.
