Guest guest
Hi everyone! My name is and I am 37yrs. I am new to the group and am just figuring out how to get around. I've had lupus for a few years now - though I suspect I had it for a few years before I was diagnosed (isn't that usually the case?). I have no major organ involvement - just my joints and skin (mostly from the sun). One of my questions is this - Is lupus a progressive disease? Will I eventually have organ involvement or is it an 'unknown'? My second question is about this strange rash on my feet. For years I used to use athlete's foot treatments to no avail because that's what I thought it was. My dermatologist did a biopsy and it was NOT athlete's foot. She suspected some sort of " lupus thing " and we tried a variety of cremes, some of which helped for a while but eventually it comes back. It starts out as little blisters that get larger (the largest was the size of a quarter) and the itch...OMG! Drives me crazy. Has this ever happened to anyone and if yes was there anything that helped? I enjoy the boards and have looked at most of your lovely pictures and maybe one day I will get brave enough to put mine and my son's up too!
