The concept for the Center is to have 12hospital-grade chambers along with diagnostic services and equipment. This website is a clearing house for information about our efforts tocreate a center to treat and care for children suffering from manyailments

that can benefit from the use of hyperbaric oxygen (HBOT). Wehave many testimonials and scientific evidence that shows childrenwith Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Shaken Baby Syndrome and other specialneeds can benefit from these treatments. The CP Endowment has pioneered a new direction with HBOT for children. We use portable hyperbaric oxygen chambers to treat children withCerebral Palsy, Autism and other neurological disorders. Treatmentswith the HBOT have been so successful that the first portable chamberwas purchased in 2000. For the next five years, this chamber wasdelivered to the home where the children resided and remained therefor at least three weeks, with parents operating the chamber. At theend of the period, the chamber would be moved to the next child on thelist and after several months the chamber would be returned to thefirst child's home and the schedule would repeat itself. While thisprogram greatly

improved these children's lives and that of thecare-givers, its weakness was that only one child per day could betreated. In 2006, fund-raisers were held to purchase a second chamber, plannedto be operated at a location whereby several children a day could bescheduled for its use. The HBOT program was so successful that by theend of the year, a total of five portable chambers were in operation;two in St. sburg, one each in Pinellas Park and Tampa, and on theeast coast of the state. This allowed up to 25 children per day toreceive these treatments.
