Guest guest
I have been asked to give a talk at a local food show. My initial thoughts were to try and give it something surrounding the geriatric population and easier ways to help feed them/keep their nutritional status up. Or some type of culinary talk to help with cooking healthy items in a large setting. Any advice on where to find information concerning this or does anyone have a power point they would be willing to share? Thanks! Guest guest
I like your idea of the culinary talk. I have both elderly widows who have no motivation to cook now that hey are alone (females) or no skills (male) and young parents who have no cooking skills either who need help with really simple ideas for healthy meals with a minimum of cooking. Unfortunately, I don’t have a power point for you. From: Lawson Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2011 8:18 AM To: rd-usa Subject: talk advice I have been asked to give a talk at a local food show. Guest guest
It sounds like you need two things: ** First, who will be your primary target audience. In other words, what would interest them the most. ** Second, what do you want to GET as a result of doing this talk. In other words, new visitors to your website? New people signing up for your newsletter? More presentations? New clients? Focusing on addressing what your audience would want to hear and what you have to offer will make a huge difference in what topic you choose. Guest guest
Thanks Everyone! I'm definitely getting some GREAT ideas and I'll make sure to share my powerpoint when I'm done... Margorie - I'm actually just doing this as a favor for our food vendor. Yeah, I'll make a few extra bucks, but honestly, I don't see this actually helping me out in the long run for my consulting practice. That's okay. My target audience will be dietitians that work in healthcare and possibly some restaurant owners. But I so appreciate you helping me think this through! So I have decided that the route I'm going to go with is healthy/yummy cooking in a large setting. Any other advice would be so greatly appreciated!
