Guest guest
Hello everyone! I would be very interested in hearing thoughts on this. I recently have been having problems with my legs as well. I was having a problem with my right leg(knee) where I couldn't extend it and it would ache all the time. One night I went to bed and during the night I would move and the pain would be awful. When I got up in the morning, my husband had to help me downstairs because I couldn't put any weight on it at all. Now my right leg is better and my left leg has started with the same problem. Thanks ACM1 10mm,hyothyroid second nsg appt June 26th at s Hopkins, Dr. Weingart
Guest guest
, Have you had an MRI of your knee? The reason I ask is that my husband was having horrible leg spasms for a couple of years after a car accident. The doctor thought the pain was coming from his back. When we changed doctors due to insurance coverage changes, the new doctor decided to do am MRI on his knees just to make sure there was nothing else going on. Well, there was something else going on - he had virtually no cartilage left and had to have surgery immediately. During the surgery they discovered the damage was even worse than the MRI showed. [i thought an MRI showed EVERYTHING - not so] He will have to have total joint replacement on both knees. So - I think it is wise not to blame everything on chiari - until you get some tests. It would be a shame to miss something else important that could be going wrong - just by assuming chiari is causing it all. Don't mean to preach here. I just don't want anyone to go through as much pain as my husband did because the doctor was blaming his pain on the wrong thing.
