That is a very informative link.

My intense migraine days also led me to avoid " Spices " and " Natural Flavorings " .

Neotame would be an unlabeled trigger. The menu plan was simple - no processed

foods. The term food desert takes on a new twist when oversensitivity to

everything is extreme. The interior of a grocery store was off limits for

optimal migraine prevention. I ate a lot of rice cakes, tahini and ginger

powder. Gluten wasn't a migraine trigger - it was a muscle spasm trigger. An

apple and a carrot a day were also easy meal choices. Homemade soups, stews and

stir fries without soy sauce - heavier on the garlic, ginger, toasted sesame oil

- were hot meal staples.

" organic " processed foods are not necessarily free of triggers.

Over-ripe fruits and more aged meat can be a trigger due to an increase in free

amino acids as the product ferments or catabolizes. -Tyramine needs to be

avoided for MAO inhibitor use - an aged yogurt or banana may trigger side

effects where a fresh one might not.
