Guest guest
Thank you for the Miralax suggestion! We also used a glycerin filled suppository recommended by a nurse at the pediatrician's office. They worked miracles! Yes, we prefer trying prune juice or some fruits and vegetables (the none invasive way) but she is stubborn and won't try any. Delicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Guest guest
Have you tried the book, Deceptively Delicious? I've used it with great results. You substitute pureed fruit & veggies for other liquid ingredients. I have a very picky eater too (ok, and I am one myself, but not that bad), and I've managed to sneak cauliflower, spinach, squash, and a multitude of other veggies that would otherwise never be touched. Most of it is super easy to make too.JennNeed suggestions for a picky eater (no fruits and vegetables-only shredded carrots. ) I've tried a suppository and still nothing. Guest guest
You can try giving her between Vitamin C (Buffered) with 1 to 2 onces of aloe vera juicein the morning, until she gets a regular bowel movement. Also, you can try Olive oil, 1 tablespoon as step numberone. If you do not get a bowel movement, then you can go to Castor Oil, this will do the trick, but it will produce strong peristaltic waves in the bowel, so ifthere is stool plugging up the southern exit, the riskx are intolerable cramps and anal fissure when the plug is passed. If your child is younger than 2 consult with a doctos, if not you can try 1/3 to 1 tablespoon only one time, do not use it for more than a week, and do it on an empty stomach. Also if problem persist you may want to check for yeast, and she probably may need antifungal therapy. Hope this helps Lucy > > Need suggestions for a picky eater (no fruits and vegetables-only shredded > carrots. ) I've tried a suppository and still nothing. She is backed up to > say the least! Guest guest
I have discovered something very helpful for constipation for my son. I buy Aloe Vera Juice. It is called 's Aloe Vera Juice. I buy in at Tunie's. You can get it at Whole Foods as well. This brand is tasteless and it looks like water. My sons drink it (2 to 3 oz. at a time) with no problem. It is a great, natural way to help create bowel movements. Also Oxypowder is a supplement that I sometimes give. You can look it up on line at www.oxypowder.com. It works well with our kids. My son will have a bm about an hour after taking it. --------- constipationNeed suggestions for a picky eater (no fruits and vegetables-only shredded carrots. ) I've tried a suppository and still nothing.
