Guest guest
I don't have any advice in the NJ area, but what you are probably looking to find is someone very experienced at hysteroscopically removing submucosal fibroids. 2cm is enough to cause huge bleeding but small enough to be quite successfully removed hysteroscopically. No incision is needed and you will feel fine in 1 day, able to resume exercise, etc. in a couple of weeks. I had this done 3 years ago and am going back next month to get the other one (I had two, they only got one out the first time, going back to get the 2nd now). Mine is close to 4 cm now, so the doctor is pre-treating me with Lupron in the hopes to get it down to about the size you have. So, you wouldn't need to go on Lupron first, at 2cm I think that's ideal. The birth control pills didn't work for me either when mine got to be your size. You'll probably want to remove it. Good luck and feel free to email me privately if you want more details on the hysteroscopic procedure.
