I'm still pretty hopeful about it and willing to give it a try for a month

or so if our endocrinologist agrees. We won't see him for a month or so

though. For all I know he won't be for it either. In 's case he did

well with accepting the daily shots until his 2nd birthday. After that it

was like a light went on and he decided, 'hey, I don't have to take this

and be nice about it. " giving the shot is a major ordeal these days. I

would love to not have to do this everyday at least until he is older and

less stressed about it all.

Do you know if the families tried using emla cream before giving the shot?

One positive in many situations is I would think it would increase

compliance. Something is only good if you use it as our ped always says

and daily shots are something many families I have spoken to forget at

least once a week.

Thanks for the input Jeannine. It's always good to hear parental input on

these things in addition to what the research says.
