Guest guest
Check out this site on Intelihealth quite intersting I found. They try to make it sound like its for the best of the Patinet (Brain Trauma) but I found it interesting that they used the " Cost Effective " (true meaning I feel) as the underlying reason. I spent quite a bit of time in Cognitive therapy after my first surgery in 1997, I had severe loss of directional (left and right) thought process, and still do to this day. I regulariy play " Solitair and MAjong)sp) is also a good game I play these were used as well as glames like " Trouble " and others to work thorugh my shortterm memoery losses and Driectional abilites. I lost most of my left right abiilites back then and must write EVERYTHING I need to do,within about 20 -30 seconds when the thought comes through or I will foregt it no matter what, using Mini handheld playback tape recoreders is the best I have found, and I saw this on 20 20 a few years ago for Brain Injured patients, I mean forgetting from room to room what you are doing, not every now and then but every singel day of your life, I belive it does take Hsopital stays with the APpropriate people to work with somone who has Brain damage and I would do it again in a heart beat, even my husband knows I suffered this damge and hes very aware of it and dosnt get mad with me he jsutknows its the way it will be possibly the rest of my life. Well read it if you wante to its not long but for someon who suffers thist problmes it amy be of interest to see how our wonderfulf Medical system feesl about ait, and of cours they ha a Doctore agree with it fjust for " the push " I feel.
