Guest guest
Hi friends, I'm a new member to this group. Last July, My son had a grand mal seizure so his neurologist ordered an MRI and found that my son who is seventeen years old has ACM I. I know that there are certain questions that I should ask my son's doctor during office visits, but I'm not sure of what I should ask him. I did ask him about surgery to put my son's medulla( that's misplaced down into the neck area) back in place, and his doctor said that my son would die. If any of the members can give me a list of questions I should be asking the neurologist, I would appreciate it. My e-mail:jturman@... Thank you June
Guest guest
June, You get another doctor immediately!!! You don't describe your sons signs or symptoms, there is always a risk of death with any operation, but ,those " scare tactics " , wording such as you described are uncalled for!! I suggest you go to the homepage and read the life-stories there. Many are sad and many are happy, too. Advocate aggressively for your son and don't ever give in to quacks like the one you seem to be going to @ present. Good luck, Marcia ;-) a wink and a smile can last quite a while. aka Me2,ACM1,V/P shunt not decompressed _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp
